September 14-18th, 2026: Dr. Michael Poston, our collaborator from SwRI, visited to help us prepare the SANDIE chamber for the next phase of Martian spider experiments!

September 11th, 2026: Dr. Jennifer Scully (Jen) is a collaborator from JPL who paid us a visit to see the lab and speak at our colloquium with her talk, “Exploring New and Familiar Worlds with Planetary Geologic Mapping.”

July 31st, 2026: UCF Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Senior Design Team, advised by Phillip Hargrove, finished their collaborative project for the lab and presented at the MAE Demonstration Day. Their project, "Spider on the Rocks" is a makeshift cryovacuum which produces Europa-like conditions and can be used to test hypotheses of briny flow systems.
